multiple skills. The most basic but nevertheless important of

You
also need to be able to understand the basics of putting up a website.
Believe me, putting up websites and getting into the nitty
gritty
of putting tables, pages, images and many other things can be very very
frustrating as sometimes it doesn't appear logical that something will
work one day and not the next. I have experimented with
various
webpages. Sometimes I have inserted a 2 cell-table on my page
and
for some reason I can put an image in one cell but can't even click
on the second cell to place an image.
There is no doubt a
very good reason why these things happen, but if you haven't got a clue
what you are doing wrong, it can be extremely monitor-smashingly
frustrating. I have been there grrr!
You decide you need
to know about html and css, so you 'google' those two items, download
and print out pages of text, and then find you don't really understand
what is being said because you don't know what an attribute or a field
or whatever means. Help!
It is best to start with the basics. A very good little eBook

explains the basics in easy-to-understand steps (and at the beginning
stage you need easy-to-understand - well I do anyway) can be found at

There
are various pieces of software available that can be very helpful when
trying to get an internet business going. I have many items
of
software but have little idea what to do with them but there are many
people who are familiar with software so I have included a page with
items of software. I make no recommendations as I have not
used
them so it is buyer beware I'm afraid.
I
am of the opinion also that it is more difficult for women to grasp the
internet concept - it is for me but I am a musician so that may have
something to do with it. Most of the 'gurus' you hear about
are
men, you have to admit. What may appear as perfectly logical
to a
man, can cause quite a hick-up in understanding for a woman.
Many
people may disagree but we most definitely have a different 'slant' on
things and I think the male has the advantage when it comes to internet
concepts. Opinions please. Nice ones of course.
However
one successful female 'guru' belies that idea. She has many
quite
excellent programs available for affiliate marketing, affiliate
management, email marketing, copywriting and much more. You
